We start from the emblematic Larios street in Malaga (1), where are the stores of large firms located, until reaching the Constitution Plaza (2), considered the heart of the historic city center. which is the heart of the historic center of Malaga. How early, we can make a stop to taste a typical Malaga breakfast in any of the cafes that we will find in the area. A good coffee with churros or a "smurf" with olive oil from the land will suit us wonderfully. But pay attention, you have to know how to order a coffee in Malaga, because depending on the amount of coffee served it is called differently. For example, a "half coffee" is half coffee and half milk and a "shadow" is three quarters of milk and a quarter of coffee. Conversely, more coffee than milk, It would be a "long" and thus up to nine different ways of ordering a coffee.

After that, we will take Santa María street until Cathedral of Our Lady of the Incarnation and its Cathedral Museum (3), renaissance style. In front of the Cathedral are the Plaza del Obispo and the Episcopal Palace (4), of baroque architecture. Going down this same street to the right, we will meet the Revello de Toro Museum (5), where you can see the wonderful works of the Malaga portraitist and painter Félix Revello de Toro.

Down the last stretch of Calle Santa María, you can see the Elizabethan façade of the Sagrario (6), and we continue advancing along Císter street, ending in the Customs Palace of 1826, Malaga Museum headquarters (7). Next to the museum, and at the entrance of Alcazabilla street is the next stop: The Alcazaba (8), along with the Gibralfaro Castle and the Roman theatre (9), which form the most important archaeological site in the city. The enclosure houses an interesting exhibition hall, where ceramic materials from Muslim Malaga from the 11th to 15th centuries are displayed. This palace communicates with the Gibralfaro Castle by a steep mountain corridor. But to facilitate the climb to the fortress, we have public transport at our disposal. We will visit it later.

The Roman theatre (9), located at the foot of La Alcazaba is a must see, whose use is currently scenic.

We continue our route and follow Alcazabilla street to reach the Plaza de la Merced, where we fully enter the Picassian route of Malaga.
